Snowy Owls live in the Artic Tundra. In the wild, Snowy Owls live about 10 years. Snowy Owls live about 25 years in captivity.
Snowy owls are usually 27in. tall and 23in. wide. Their wing-span is around 4.5-5.5 feet.
Snowy Owls are endangered. There are only 300,000. Snowy Owls are endangered from collisions with automobiles and poachers. Snowy Owls are protected by Migratory Bird Species Act.
Snowy Owls are mostly white with narrow, sparse brown bars and spots. Their toes and claws are thickly covered with feathers.
