Jenner'sThoughts

Edward Jenner, an English physician, was born May 17th, 1749 in Berkeley, United Kingdom and studied microbiology. Edward Jenner died in Berkeley on January 26th, 1823 at age 73.

Edward Jenner's ideas spread rapidly. By 1801 100,000 people had been vaccinated.Edward Jenner saved many lives.

Jenner's first test was on an eight year old boy. This test lasted several weeks. Jenner put some cowpox from a dairymaid's hand onto the boy's arm. He later put a trace of smallpox on his arm, but the boy never expeirienced any of the symptoms of smallpox.
