sludge dumping

- Of particular concern to researcheres are the effects of dumping on living resources and deep-sea biodiversity, as well as the transmission of contaminants back to the human population. - Even though dumping is over plenty of places are still having problems with the soil, water ect.

December 31, 1991Makes it unlawful for any person to dump, or transport for the pupose of dumping, sewage sludge or industrial waste into ocean waters.

Yeah ...I dont think so.

Let's stop this!!We can avoid all of this by avoiding to dump industrial wastes, radioactive wastes, warfare agents (chemical or biological), sewage, and incineration (waste materials converts the waste into ash, flue gas, and heat). In 2000 the U.S. Congress took extra precautions by enacting the BEACH Act to reduce the risk of disease to users of the nation's coastal and Great Lakes waters. There are also funds being made available for states and tribes to establish monitoring systems for disease-causing microbes, and to notify people when the monitoring indicates a public health hazard.

Sludge Dumping

Explaination

Costal areas are continually impacted by chemicals in waste products that run off the land eventually suffering from increases in toxic algal, which decresases oxygen levels and kills populations of fish.

Help my wings are covered in sludge and I can't get up!

Us as humans depend on the ocean for many aspects of our lives, since practically 3/4 of the earth is water. We use oceans as a source of fresh water to recieve for our every day lives from brushing our teeth to use it for consumption.
