The first African slaves were brought to Jamestown, Virginia, in 1619, to aid in the production of crops such as tobacco and later cotton after the seperation from Great Britain. Which set the economic foundations of the new nation as well as be the ause of many events in history.


The Plan Sunday was a vulnerable day for slaveholders since it was the day they went to church. So that day they were gonna steal ammunition from a local seller and kill all slave holders and only spare non-slaveholders, The Quakers, Methodist, and those friendly to slaves.

The rebellion was stopped before it began! Because of two slaves that warned them before chaos had erupted. Those who helped hide their slave owners were spared. And Gabriel along with numerous other slaves were killed to set an example for other slaves and law was passed to carry firearms during church

Gabriel Posser A save who stole a pig and then fought with a white who was later punished and sent to prison where he created the basis of the rebellion.

Cotton Gin Influenced Laws to keep slaves regaudless of them running away. Increased production more than the slaves could pick the crops.
