6.The underground railways was a secret network of routes and safe houses. They were used by enslaved people. It lead to Canada and Mexico. It was basically a way to freedom!6 A. The Underground Railroad was important because people used it to get away from their problems and difficulties within slavery and start a new life in which they could have children with little fear and have the comfort that their children were being educated for free.
1. The four main groups that made up southern culture were the Free African Americans, Slaves, Slave holders and the free whites.2. The types of jobs that Slaves did on plantations included things like Cleaning the house, cooking, picking tabaco and rice in the plantatoin, craftsmen, sugar boilers, and the drivers.3. Life under slavery was difficult and dehumanizing because the slaves had to sleep in bad conditions and they didn't have clothes for the winter and summer. Also if they had kids they had to cook for them and take care of them without assistance from the higher powers.4. Slave culture was centered around the idea about Blacks were lesser beings than whites. 5. Slave uprisings impacted the treatment of slaves when the were starting to get fed up with their conditions, so the slave holders treated the slaves worse and gave them more punishments. It also impacted the way laws were formed by putting new laws of why Blacks should be controlled. 5 A. Nat Turner's rebelion was a slave rebellion and it took place in Southampton county during August 1831. It was led by Nat Turner. Rebel slaves killed about 55-65 whites.

1.The African educational opportunities were rare becasue most didnt go to school and most only knew how to read. Or sometimes somebody will teac them bt it wa a crime t teach them. Slaves went to public schools and it was all Blacks.A.Quakers were actually against it, In Europe and America. They were teacher of the enslaved children and they were enslaved if they did that. They made a oranization called Society of Friends.B. the laws impacted the education of slaves because they could only go to a all black school. Some forbidded reading and writing and it was a crime to teach. 2.The free communities were Baltimore, North Carolina, Virginia, Pennsilvania, and New Orleands.A. The second great awakenings had milllions of new members. it was around 1790. It symbolized the second coming of Jesus Christ.

Nat Turners RebellionIn 1831 Nat Turner led a group of followers on a violent rampage for a short time, in the South Hampton County, Virginia. Nat and his followers killed at least 55 whites. When Nat was captured he was hanged.
