This idea is probably one of the most important ideas of the Constitution. The people did not want the government to have too much power so on top of limiting it's power the people also created a system so that no one section of government had all the power. The Judicial Branch, The Legislative Branch, and The Executive Branch all have a system of checking one another and balancing out power.
Writers of the ConstitutionJames Madison, "Father of the Constitution", wrote the Constitution as well as the Bill of Rights.
