Description:The Siberian (Amur) Tiger is the largest cat in the world. It is found in eastern Russia. The Siberian Tiger is a carnivore and a secondary consumer. They mainly eat elk and wild bohr. Females have 2-6 tiger cubs that leave her when they are 2-3 years old. There are only about 450 left in the wild.

Range

Problems:Siberian Tigers are illegally hunted for their fir and body parts used in medicine. Also, their habitat is being cut down.

Solutions:There are ongoing efforts to prevent the Siberian Tiger from extinction. Many countries prohibit trading of tiger parts. There are also breeding programs.

Environment:The Siberian Tiger lives above ground in the Russian woodlands. Conifers and birch trees are common. They do not hibernate.
