But this wasnt just about the body, eat etc it was also about the mind also to keep a mental state always think of good thoughs be well educated and very knowledgeable to learn these skills the relied on phyilosophy and literature.

Shogunate japan: How did the samurai manage such a healthy lifestyle

Their energetic healthy day consisted of firstlythem waking up at 7 o clock after having atleast 7 hours of sleep which is over the average for the usual adult then. Next at 7:30 for breakfast they consumed rice and pickled vegtables which were full on nutrience and non fat. After lunch they go for fitness training from 1 to 3 O'clock for two hours with a professional trainer this was one of the key moments in the day as they needed to concentrate and build up their fitness so that during battle they could last longer and be more smart and improve their health.

After fitness training the samurai bathe in the natural springs at 4 O'clock which helps their skin. Then for dinner at 8 O'clock they eat Fish for protein, soup and rice. next at 10 O'clock they get to have fun with friends for one hour and consume soem win to help then body relax and repair blood cells. Lastly at 12 O'clock PM they Meditate and reflect other their day, pray to buddism then went to bed and have a good nights sleep for tommrow. The samurai also didnt care if they had big mucles and there appearances all they cared about is to be healthy, fit and smart.
