Shakespeare

Shakespeare introduced nearly 3,000 words into the English language. In addition, Shakespeare's works, which were often quoted, became such commonplace that they helped set the standards for Modern English. Not only that but he has contributed greatly to some of the expressions we use today, it could be said that he pretty much influenced out everyday conversations. It can be said that Shakespeare not only impacted literature but changed modern social communication. (Woah!) so if you're ever in a 'pickle' or are feeling 'gloomy' atleast thanks to Shakespeare you know how to express it to others.

Fact: Plays during the Elizabethan age were put out by men, as women were not allowed to participate. So both gendered roles were played by men.

Shakespeare lived during the Elizabthan Age. People often had short lives. In a literary sense, men were more valued.

Shakespeare's influence has been passed down through literature for as long as time can go, reason being is his work was the inspiration for some famous novelists, such as, Charles Dickens, Herman Melville, and much more. His works such as Hamlet, Macbeth, and King Lear are said to be some of the world's greatest plays. William Shakespeare, although it is unknown when his birthdate was, plays a large role in American literature. He was an Actor, Poet, and writer, through his type mines written about 38 plays and 154 sonnets, being passed down through generations. He was a master at playing with character development, underlying theme and tone, and vocabulary. Why is his work so influential? Because the way he expressed morals and theme through a series of complex tragedies and events, is one many authors find is the key to good writing. His storylines captivated many, with their in depth points of analysis, they kept the reader focused on unraveling the subliminal messages his literature carried. These are the qualities that young readers should acquire as their own when studying English.
