Parades were held in his honor and he met three presidents: Wilson, Harding, and Coolidge.

He is the inspirtation behind Georgetown University's Hoya Mascot.

He was a stray dog found on the campus of Yale University by Private J. Robert Conroy.

Most decorated war dog of WWI and the only dog to be promoted to sergeant for combat.
