Book Reports
Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs. Right off the bat, Chuck Klosterman's book seems interesting. Right from the title you can assume that the book will be humorous, and really unique. Throughout the entire book this holds up, the book is very unique in its sarcastic, dry approach to everyday life, and is hilarious, at least to me.
Summary
Sex, drugs, and cocoa puffs
Theme
Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs is a book that doesn't take itself too seriously, as the book basicslly features parts of Klosterman's life, which he then narrates and comedically expands upon. This is for sure one of the best books I've read in an English class, just because most of the time the books we are forced to read are usually dry, and this book is the opposite. It's super anti-normal AP English forced reading, and I love that.
Characters
There really are no set characters, besides the author Chuck Klosterman. The book just describes things in his life, besides Klosterman there are no set characters.
As for setting, once again the setting along with the characters change with each chapter, and there really isn't a set setting.
I would definitely recommend this book to anybody with a kind of dry/dark humor, the book is very funny, and Klosterman really made a good one here.
