[2015] abigail alfred: Separating solutes and solvents

SEPERATING THE SOLUTIONSYou can many mechanical mixtures with your hands,a filter, sieve magnets etc. We had learned that if we are trying to seperating soulutions, we can use many ways, such as using a spoon to skim the solutes of the top, we can use a coffee filter, sieve, or a cheesecloth to get the solutes in it's orginal shape, to what it was before we had dissolved it in the slovent.

In this unit we had learned about seperating the solutions in the its normal state(as a solute and solvent). We also learned about the methods such as evapoation and ditillation. Not just that but, we did a lot of experiments with seperating the solutions, such as the big beacker (with soil,leaves,twigs..etc) the small beacker(with the water, sand and pebbles) and the last beacker ( with the sand, paper clipls..etc).

The tools worked really well to seperate the solutions, but it was really hard because we didn't know which ones to use and when. Espically because we had made many mistakes.
