The BasicsBasically, this says that an individual cannot be denied rights solely because they are disabled.- Civil rights law.-First public law specifically aimed at diminishing descrimination of people due to a disability.-Covers the entire lifespan. -Children with disabilities have the option of a free appropriate public education. -Section 504 says there shall be no discrimination against individuals with physical or mental impairment that (substantially) limits one or more major life activities, including: Caring for one's self Performing manual tasks Walking Seeing Hearing Speaking Breathing Working Learning
