Schizophrenia
Dissociative Identity Disorder
VS
One of the main physical differences are the ventricles. Ventricles are spaces in your brain that should fit a blueberry.
Ventricles do not change in size or shape
Ventricles are enlarged to fit a swelled grape
These disorders cause multiple people to 'appear'. Whether outsiders can notice these people or not, it is evidently clear in the patient's minds.
People are only in the patient's head and NO ONE ELSE sees them.
Outsiders can tell there is a personality change and, overall, a 'different' person
Though Schizophrenia andDissociative Identity Disorderare often confused, they areactually quite different fromeach other.
People with DID have been misdiagnosed with schizophrenia, so understanding the differences can lead to a more accurate diagnosis.
