Scarlet Fever or Scarlatina was discovered by Thomas Sydenham. It was discovered between 1624-1689.Scarlet Fever was discovered in England.

You get Scarlet Fever from a bacteria called Streptococcal A. This bacteria can be highly toxic microbes that can cause strep throat, wound or skin infections,Pneumonia, and serious kidney infetions, as well as Scarlet Fever.

Causes of Scarlet Fever

Some of the symptoms are Sore Throat, Bumpy rashes, bumps on the tounge, white spots on the tonsils, cheeks are flushed, and the skin around the mouth tends to be pale.

Symptoms

Scarlet Fever will often clear up spontaneously within a few days. Antibiotic treatment with either oral or injectable penicillian is usually reccomended to prevent spread from others. Erythromycin or clindamycin are other antibiotics if the patient can't take penicillian.

Scarlet Fever can be cured. Doctors give patients oral or injectable penicillian, to prevent it from spreading. Erythromycin and Clindamycin are other antibiotics for patients that can not take Penicillian, but Erythromycin and Clindamycin do the same job as Penicillian.

In 1924 Gladys Dick and her husband George Dick invented a test to see if a patient is vunerable to Scarlet Fever. The test involved injecting a toxic -containing substance into the arm. If the skin around it became inflamed, the Patient was vunerable to Scarlet Fever

The person might get a fever, legarthy, sore throat, and a bumpy rash that blanches under pressure. The rash appears first on the upper chest and it spreads to the neck, abdomen, legs, arms, and in folds of skin such as the arm. Also, the skin around the mouth tends to be pale and the cheeks are flushed. The patient usually gets inflammed bumps on the tongue that comes with a bright red coating. Finally, dark red lines may appear in the creases of the skin.

The Integumentary system is affected because, the Integumentary system has to do with your skin, and your skin is affected by Scarlet Fever. Your skin gets a rash that spreads throughout your body. The lymphatic system is affected because, your Lymphatic system has to do with your Tonsils, and your Tonsils are affected by Scarlet Fever. You can get a sore throat.
