Physical Properties

Interior

Rings

-Saturn's rings are named in alphabetical order separated by the cassini division.-Saturn's rings have their own atmosphere composed mostly of Oxygen and Hydrogen which interacts with the ultraviolet light from the sun.

-Saturn has a density of 687, which is extremely low compared to Earth's.-Saturn has a rotation rate which is more than half of Earth's rotation rate.-Saturn is tilted on its rotational axis by 1 degree.

-The concentration of Helium compared to hydrogen is slightly higher.-Saturn's interior consists of fluid Hydrogen.-Saturn has a dipole magnetic field, with a north and south end.-Like Jupiter, Saturn's interior is mostly made up of Hydrogen and Helium.

-Atmospheric winds on Saturn reach as high as 500 meters per second; higher than the strongest hurricane winds on Earth.-Saturn's atmosphere is rich in Helium, in fact, it is 755 times greater than that on Earth.-Helium forms in the upper levels of the stmosphere, condenses into vapor, and creates precipitation.

Atmosphere

Moons

-Saturn has 62 moons.-Titan is the largest of Saturn's moons with a very thich atmosphere.-Titan's atmosphere is made up of mostly Nitrogen, with little Hydrogen and Methane.-Hills on the surface of Titan have rivers of a dark colored methane rain.-The medium sized moons of Saturn are normal, prograde orbit moons as far out as the F ring, such as Phoebe.
