TransmissionIt is transmitted in certain foods such as raw poultry, eggs, and sometimes on unwashed fruit and vegetables. Also, it can be in animals such as livestock, reptiles, and sea creatures.

The cause of this disease is the salmonella enterica bacterium and that causes the food poisoning.

TreatmentMost people recover without treatment but diarrhea and dehydration may be so servers that is it necessary to go to the hospital. Drinking lots of liquids will help dehydration.

Diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps. They usually develop 12 to 72 hours after being infected and the illness will last 4 to 7 days.

PreventionCook poultry, ground beef, and eggs completely. Wash hands before and after eating. If you come in contact with raw meat or poultry, wash hands immediatly. Wash fruit and vegetables before consuming.
