Paul Abadie was the first architect to design the basilica. He got choosen to be the first after winning a competition over 77 other architects. The construction started in 1875, and after he died in 1884, 5 other architects took over. They are: Honoré Daumet, Jean-Charles Laisné, Henri-Pierre-Marie Rauline, Lucien Magne , and Jean-Louis Hulot.

Sacré-Coeur Is:Also called The Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Sacré-Cœur Basilica and sometimes simply Sacré-Cœur. In French, it is Basilique du Sacré-Cœur.

The Sacré-Coeur is:35 meters long, 85 meters wide, and has a height of 83m.

Their are no guided tours, but the hours are: 6:00 am – 10:30 pm, everyday. Also, it is free.

The Sacré-Coeur is located at 35 Rue du Chevalier de la Barre, Paris.
