What is a Verb? - An action verb is a word that describes an action, state, or occurance. (kick, throw, catch, run, swim)- Linking verbs are connecting words that describe the subject.(is, went, am, be)
"Rules" of Grammar
Descritpive vs. PrescriptiveDescriptive - "Informal English" - more social Prescriptive - "Formal English" - more for education Not one person speaks the same way or values the same aspects of English. Whose to say what way is correct and how we should teach it?
