What are Rubies?

The vast range of natural colors and shades include pinkish, purplish, and orange-red. The value of the ruby increases based on the color and quality. Therefore, the prized ruby is a true, vivid red in color and the most expensive.

Rubies are metamorphic rocks and consists of crystallized corundum that gives it the red color. It is the second hardest natural mineral. It is the birthstone for the month of July and one of the most highly valued gems. It is known as the "king of gems" because it was believed to have magical powers. Rubies represents strength, passion, health, and love.
