Rotation vs. Revolution

Rotation VS Revolution by:Gabby Pietromica

We move around the sun in an ellipse. The earth is tilted on its acsess and that couses seasons. It takes one year to go around the sun. The sun's rays reach at diffrent angles. Venus trravels faster then we do but we are roughly the same size, so we call Venus are sister planet. Did you no that stars are way farther then planets.

This is a diagram of the moon revolving around the earth.

There are two ways the earth revolves: around it's axis and around the sun. The earth revolves around the sun once every 365.242199 solar days (that's why we have leap years). The earth orbits the sun at a speed of 108,000km/h. It revolves (rotates) on it's axis once during approximately 24 hours. The actual day is not exactly 24 hours. The earth is never in the same exact postition from day to day.
