Bravery means having the courage to stand up for what you believe in, even if that choice is a difficult one.

The book Rosa by Nikki Giovanni allowed me to understand Rosa Park's personal life as a hard-working seamstress who cared deeply for her family. Describing the details of Rosa's bus incident proved her strength and courage to take a stand for equal rights. It is amazing to learn more about Rosa and many of the Civil Rights Movement activists in how they united together to make a difference for humanity. Each individual was a hero in contributing non-violent efforts towards equality.
