Romeo and Juliet

Ideas/Facts learned

1) Do not rush through things in life or bad things could happen. This happened with Romeo and Juliet when they rushed their marriage and ended up dying. Friar Laurence even warned them to not rush things, however they didn't listen and died as a result.

"O Romeo, Romeo! Wherefore art thou Romeo? Deny thy father and refuse thy name. Or, if thou wilt not, be sworn my love, and I'll no longer be a Capulet ".

" For never was there a story of more we than this of Juliet and her Romeo".

2) Don't let your dislike of someone cause you to do rash decisionsThis is shown when Mercutio fought Tybalt. This rash decision ultimately ended with his death.

6) Don't fake your death. Juliet faked her death in the play, which caused Romeo to be depressed and then killed himself.

5) Don't confide in a person that works for your parents. Juliet confided in her nurse, that she trusted and using this trust, keep trying to convince Juliet to marry Paris instead.

William Shakespeare was baptized at the Holy Trinity Church in Stratford, however his birthdate is unknown. His parents were John and May Shakespeare and had two older sisters, Joan and Judith, and three younger brothers, Gilbert, Richard, and Edmund. Little is known of his childhood but it is thought that he attended King's New School in Stratford. He married Anne Hathaway on November 28, 1582. When they were married, William was 18 and Anne was 26. They had three children Susana, Hamnet and Judith. In the 1590s, documents show that William was part of an acting company, called Lord Chamberlain's Men. william is highly known for his works of Theatre which include, comedies, tragedies, and histories. It is thouhg tthat william died on April 5, 1616.

4) Don't fall in love with the child of your father's worst enemy. In the play Juliet and Romeo fall in love with each other and thier parents are worst enemies. Juliet had to hid the fact that she was married to Romeo and resulted in her fake death which resulted in Romeo's death.

3) Don't get in the way of a fight or unexpected results can occur. In the play, Romeo trys to stop the fight between Mercutio and Tybalt, resulting in the death of his friend. If he had stayed out of it Mercutio may have lived.

8) Don't take your own life because your spouse died. In the play Juliet took her own life because she found Romeo dead. If she had not killed herself she might have lived a longer life and possibly found another husband.

7) Don't let your grief consume you. Romeo let his grief of Juliet's death consume him and then posioned himself. If he didn't let the grief consume him he would have found out later that she was not dead and they could have lived.
