Rocks
Rock Cycle
By:Camie Newbold
Igneous rocks are formed through the cooling and solidification of magma or lava.Igneous rocks may form with or without crystallization, either below the suface(plutonic)rocks or on the surface(volcanic) rocks.
This is a metamorphic rock.
They do not melt, but the minerals they contain change chemicaly, forming metamorphic rocks.Sometimes, metamorphic rocks are formed when rocks are close to some molten magma, and so get heated up.Remember that metamorphic rocks are not made from melting rocks.(Rocks that do melt form igneous rocks instead)
This is a sedimentary rock.
Sedimentary rocks are formed when when sediment deposited out of air, ice, wind, gravity, or water flows carrying particles in suspension. This sediment is often formed when weathering and erosion break down a rock into loose material in a source area.
This is a video about rocks and the rock cycle.
