Robert Louis Stevenson

In 1879, Robert travelled from Britain to America to see Fanny Osbourne, and they got married in 1880. He wrote both "The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" and "Kidnapped" in 1886. Robert wrote most of these things from his sickbed.

He was most famous for his stories. Some of them were "Treasure Island", "A Child's Garden of Verses", "Kidnapped", and also "The Strange Case of Dr.Jekyll and Mr.Hyde". He was known as a Scottish novelist, poet, essayist, and travel writer.

Robert was known as a novelist and as a poet. He was born on November 13, 1850 in Edinburgh, Scotland. His father was Thomas Stevenson(1818–1887). His mother was Margaret Isabella Balfour(1829-1897). Robert married Fanny Van de Grift Osbourne on May 19, 1880. His wife died on Febuary 10, 1914. Robert died on December 3, 1894.
