The infection can be transmitted directly or in-directly. All you have to do is come in contact with an infected person or their personal items
Dogs and cats may also be infected and can transmit it to children and adults.
Ringworms incubation period (the time it takes to build up in your system before symptoms show) is for about 4 to 10 days.
Infected children should be excluded from gyms, pools, or activities where they are likely to expose others
Ringwrom under micrope
Ringworm causes flat, spreding, leasions that may become dry and scaly or moist and crusted.
The infection will last as long as the lesions are present and the only way to get rid of it is to treat with a fungicidal ointment.Children may return to group care following treatment with ointment.
Any shared areas such as pools and showers need to be cleansed with a fungicide also.
Infected nails may become discolored, brittle, or chalky and they may even disintegrate
