Information can be presented in many different formats.The author of a magazine article might decide to present some information in written text.The author might decide to present other information in a visual format, such as in a chart, graph, time line, or diagram that accompanies the text. Such information is useful for connecting key ideas in the written text and explaining complex topics.By integrating, or combining, the information you find in a visual format and the information you find in written text, you can develop a stronger understanding of a topic or issue.
