Revolutionary War

Proclamation of1763

Battle of Lexington and Concord

When the British teamed up with the colonist to help them fight the French and Indian War. The British wanted a reward for their hardwork. But the colonists didn't think they should reward them. The British got mad and set up the Proclamation of 1763. The Proclamation of 1763 is when the British set up an imaginary line west of the Appalation mountains that the colonist cannot cross. They ignored the rule and crossed it anyway.

On April 19, 1775, was the Battle of Lexington and Concord. The British were coming to America and a messenger named Paul Revere tried to warn Concord. He did but while he was on his way to Lexington, the British captured him. Paul Revere never made it to Lexington. When the British were marching to the Continental Army a big gun fired rang out. No one knows who shot it but all we know is that it came from the British. This is known as the shot heard around the world.
