Sexual reproduction typically requires the involvement of two individuals or gametes, one each from opposite type of sex.

In asexual reproduction, an individual can reproduce without involvement with another individual of that species.
Binary fission occurs when a parent cell splits into two identical daughter cells of the same size.
Sporulation: reproduction involving specialized single cells coming from one parent.
Parthenogenesis is a reproduction in which females produce eggs that develop without fertilization
