Solar Energy
Renewable energy is energy that is made from natural resources such as wind, water or the sun. Using these natural resources to make energy results in lower pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Renewable energy is also reliable and sustainable because the natural resources will never run out. The Australian Government has set a renewable energy target which states that by 2020, 20% of Australia's electircity will come from renewable sources.( Australian Government, Department of Industry and Science, n.d.)

What is renewable energy?
Wind Energy
Wind energy is created by wind turbines which covert the force of wind into electricity. Lots of wind turbines together in one area are called ' wind farms'. Watch the video and think about the following points:- How wind turbines work?- What are some positives of wind energy?- What are some negatives of wind energy?
It is important to use renewable energy sources to reduce the amount of pollution and fossil fuels in the atmosphere. Additionally, it is also important to use renewable energy so that the environment is protected for future generations. Watch the video and think about the following points:- What can you and your family do at home to conserve energy?- How can we use renewable energy is our daily lives at home or school?
