Renewable Energy Sources

The power of the oceans :Wave energy and Tidal energy

Wave energyThe wind transfers energy to the water, this creates waves. The wave farm uses big tubes on the surface of the ocean and when the waves move across the sea, these tubes move up and down and a turbine changes the energy of the wave into energy we can use (elcetricity)

Tidal energyTides are the regular changes of the level of the ocean. They are created by the changing positions of the sun and the moon and by the movement of the Earth. It is possibile to use this movement of the water to produce electricity.

About 85% of the world's energy comes from fossil fuels. We use them for industry , cars, heating, cooking and light: they have changed our lives but also our planet. Fossil fuels are one of the most relevant causes of the climate change
