Christianity:Christianity is a major religion that can be followed almost everyhwhere on the Earth. It is based on the teachings of Jesus. It is a montheistic religion which means that they believe in one God. They celebrate the holiday of Christmas which is the birthday of Jesus Christ and the Eucharist which is also known as the Lord's Supper. Christianity is widespread and can be found in many countries of Asia including China, Taiwan, and South Korea.

Hinduism:Hinduism originated in the subcontinent of India. They believe in one God which takes many forms. Hinduism is very popular in India, filling about 80 percent of the population. Hinduism is known as one of the oldest religions. They believe that dharma is the universal principle of law, order, harmony, all in all truth, that sprang first from Brahman.

Judaism:Judaism is a monotheistic religion which means that they follow one God.The Torrah is the holy book and the first five books of the Old Testament. They believe that the Messiah is yet to come. Judaism can be found in several countries around the world and one of these is Israel.

Islam:Islam is based on the prophet of Muhammad. Islam translates to "surrender". Allah is the main God and Islam is a monotheistic religion. Allah is seen as the sustainer and the protector of the Earth. They follow the five pillars of Islam. The first pillar is believing in the one God which is Allah, the second pillar revolves around praying five times a day, the third pillar is Alm's Giving, the fourth pillar is the Fast of Rhamadon, and lastly, the fifth is the Haj. It can be found in Indonesia.

Shintoism:Shintoism can be found in Japan. It connects modern day Japan with the past. Shintos are structures that can serve as a shrine, memorial, harvest or romantical monuments. It is said that 80% to 90% of the people in Japan are Shinto, but in fact many of them, don't even have a religion. There are many other symbols that represent real life separating including fences, gates, ropes.

Buddhism:Buddhism is a relgion that can also be found in Inda. It is based off following the teachings of the Buddha. Buddha means "the awakened one". The goal of Buddhism is to end suffering and to find enlightenment. They believe in karma and rebirth. They believe that the soul stays alive but the body dies. Then, the soul will go into another body that is strong and healthy which it will live in until it must find another.

Confucianism:Confucianism is a religion brought from China based on the teachings of Confucious. The core of Confucianism is Humanism. They believe that people are able to reach perfection and are able to be taught. They believe in having good ethics and morals. Taiwan, Korea, Japan, and Vietnam are some of the countries that believe in Confucianism.

Taoism:This religion focuses on living in harmony with the Tao. The teachings are based off a book called Tao Te Ching containing teachings off of Laozi. It focuses on naturalness, simplicity, and sponaneity. It has three treasures which are humility, moderation, and compassion. One of its famous symbols is the yin yang sign. This sign shows that in every darkness there is light and in light thre is darkness. Taoism can be found in China.
