Recorded Books(Anna Szalkowski)
How they work...
Recorded Books are audio recordings of books. They are commonly known as books on tape or audiobooks. An individual reads a book aloud and is recorded doing so, it results in an audiobook. Many non-profit organizations and commercial companies produces these recodings.
Recorded books are great for students who understand reading material for their grade level, but may have a hard time with comprehension and decoding. Audiobooks can benefit all readers but especially, second language learners, students with disabilities, students with visual impairments, or students with dyslexia. However audiobooks paired with printed text can be helpful to all learners.

-Narrorator may add emotion and life to the characters and story.-Easily accessible. Many libraries have large collections of audiobooks.-Exposes students to corrent pronunciations and reading flow.
-Easy to become distracted-Technology based. Many audiobooks need to be accessed through a computer or tech system-Hard to refer back to.-Non-shareable
Here is a great example of my favorite childhood book. This recorded book is available on YOUTUBE and can be used in a classroom with all learners.
