Fast Facts-The Amazon rainforest is the LARGEST tropical rainforest in the world. It covers over 1.4 billion acres-About 20% of earth's oxygen is produced by the Amazon rainforest.-It is home to around 2.5 million different types of insects, as well as over 40,000 different plant species-There are many dangerous species living in the Amazon rainforest, including the cougar, jaguar and anaconda (large snake!)
