Setbacks: -people didn't believe in a woman pharaoh-her nephew, Thutmose III, wanted to be pharaoh, but Hatshepsut wanted the powerFun Facts:-married at 12 years old-Faked being a man, dressed like a man+ wore a fake beard, dropped the female "t" and was Hatshepsu-was regent for her nephew, Thutmose III-archaeologists found mummy in 2007- now in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo

-People didn't like Hatshepsut, when she died- broke statues, erased her name, destroyed her tomb- known as a peaceful queen-dad=Thothmes I, mom=Aahmose, half brother= Thothmes II- had to marry him, had two daughters= Naferura+ Merytre-Hatshepsut, Thothmes II had a son with another wife, Aset, Thothmes died after his son's birth-buried in the Valley of the Kings, in the hills behind Deir el-Bahi in western Thebes-died in her mid-40'sProjects: two obelisks- were vandalized during Thothmes III's rule- erase all recordings of his aunt-wore the white crown of Upper Egypt, the red crown of Lower Egypt, and The blue war crown
