The Quadski is a 4-stroke, amphiquad that converts to a personal watercraft. It features a top speed of 72 km/h (45 mph) on both land and water, a proprietary marine jet propulsion system, and wheel retraction. The Quadski can transition between land and water in about five seconds. The Quadski uses Gibbs' High Speed Amphibian (HSA) technology, which includes more than 300 patents and patents pending worldwide.
Themost advanced piece of Gibbs engineering is the suspension. It gives a superb ride and handling onland and retracts when on the water. The complete transition takes under five seconds, at the push of abutton.
History
This is the Gibbs Quadski, an amphibian that operates as both an ATV and a personal watercraft. Although it looks like set dressing for HBO’s Eastbound & Down, we can attest that the Quadski is real—Gibbs says it will be on sale by mid-November. It would be the first amphibious vehicle brought to market by the private company after more than 15 years “in business” and total expenditures, it says, have topped $200 million.

Fun Facts
The one problem the Quadski may run into comes with the price tag. I’ve owned a couple jet-skis in my life and know for a fact that you can buy one brand new for under $10,000. Four-wheelers are even cheaper, coming in as low as $5,000. Gibbs, on the other hand, plans to sell the Quadski for surprising $40,000.
