Quadrilaterals
Rectangles, rhombuses and squares are sometimes referred to as special parallelograms.
Square
Conditions of RectanglesIf one angle of a parallelogram is a right angle, then the parallelogram is a rectangle. If the diagonals of a parallelogram are congruent, then the parallelogram is a rectangle.

Conditions for ParallelogramsIf one pair of opposite sides of a quadrilateral are parallel and congruent, then the quadrilateral is a parallelogram. If both pairs of opposite sides of a quadrilateral are congruent, then the quadrilateral is a parallelogram. If both pairs of opposite angles of a quadrilateral are congruent, then the auadrilateral is a parallelogram.
Conditions of Parallelograms (con't.)If an angle of a quadrilateral is supplementary to both its consecutive angles, then the quadrilateral is a parallelogram. If the diagonals of a quadrilateral bisect each other, then the quadrilateral is a parallelogram.
