Using punctuation in compound sentences.

Compound Sentence: two complete sentences, joined by a conjunction and a comma:Simple: He went to the store.Simple: That's where we saw him.Compound: He went to the store, and that's where we saw him.

NOT compound: He went to the store and bought soup.(bought soup is not complete sentence)
