Harry HoudiniHarry Houdini was born on March 24, 1874. He was born in Hungary but he insisted that he was born in Appleton, Wisconsin. When he was 13 when he moved to New York City with his father. He lived in a boarding house before the family joined him. Harry Houdini was interested in magic and trapeze arts. His career began in 1894. In his career he began to change his name to Harry Houdini. People started to pay more attention when he escaped from handcuffs. Houdini married Wilhelmina Rahner and she was Houdini’s lifelong stage assistant.Houdini was the most highest paid of vaudeville stage. He was very successful and lots and lots of people came to his shows. In 1909, he wanted to learn more about airplanes. In 1912 he was the first person to fly in Australia.One of his famous acts was the legendary Chinese Water Torture Cell.
