Martin Luther King

"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the meaning of it's creed, That all men are created equal." This is one of my favourite lines in his speech.Martin Luther King Jr was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was baptized at the age of 2 in the Ebenezer Church. He was married to Coretta Scott who he met in England. He had 4 kids, Yolanda Denis King, Martin Luther King lll, Dexter Scott King, Bernice Albertine King. Martin's dream was all colors/religion would treat each other like brothers and sisters.

Martin Luther

This is Martin Luther King Jr when he delivered his "I have a dream" speech in August 28, 1963 at the Washington D.C Civil Rights March.April 4, 1968 at 7:04 a tragedy happened. Martin Luther King died. His funeral was held at Ebenezer Church where he was baptized. In Martin's last speech he said"I'm happy tonight. I'm not worried about anything. I'm not fearing any man. I have a dream this afternoon the brotherhood of man will become reality."

This is President Kennedy who was assassinated at November 22, 1968 because he believed that what Martin Luther King Jr was doing was right.

This is James Earl ray and he is the one responsible for Martin's death. He was so mad for what Martin believed in and James felt Martin was wrong about everything. So, one day when Martin was on his balcony James shot him.On, June 8th James was caught sneaking out of the country. So he was sent to prison and died there in the year 1998.

King Jr.

"Free at Last, Free at last. Thank god almighty, we are free at last."

Why is Martin my Hero?Martin Luther KIng Jr is not just a hero to millions but, he's a hero to me. He's a hero to me because He had so much perserverance to what he believed in which was to stop racism. I wish I had such perserverance like him because he never gave up his dream. The part that inspired me the most about him was his "I have a dream" speech because he describes how he feels about racism which I totally agree on. He is my hero because I think of what he would be going though with all the hate from racist people.
