Sir John A. Macdonald immigrated from Scotland to Kingston. He had two wives, ( the first wife died of illness).At the age of 15, he left school to start his legal training. At the age of 20, he became a qualified lawyer and opened his own office. He was elected an alderman in Kingston at the age of 28. He was also representative for Kingston for the Legislative Assembly in 1844 and won.

Sir John A. Macdonald was Canada second longest serving Prime Minister for 18 years and 356 days.

One of Sir John A. Macdonald biggest accomplishments was to build the Trans Canadian Railway. He build it the fact that they were having problems/issues making money after the end of the gold rush. Another of his accomplishments was that he was one of the Fathers of Confederation. He formed the four provinces Nova Scotia, Quebec, Ontario, and New Brunswick together. Sir John A. Macdonald also created a document of the rules and foundation which was called the British North America Act.

Fact #1: Sir John A. Macdonald's second son from his first marriage became the Premier of Manitoba in 1981 and he studied law in University Of Toronto.Fact #2: When you are counting $10 bill, look closly! You could see his face on $10 bill!
