Favorite president

My favorite president is Theodore Roosevelt because he had many very interesting pets and was very serious about preserving the enviroment. He added enormously to national forests, reserved lands for public use, and fostered irrigation projects. While campaining in milwaukee, he got shot in the chest by a fanatic. He recovered, but not knowing what would happen, replied; ''No man has had a happier life than I have led; a happier life in every way."''

"Far better is it to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure... than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat."Theodore Roosevelt

"The presidency is not an office job."Jakaya Kikwete
