Before his presidencyHerbert was born on august 10,1874.He was orphaned at a young age.His parents died when he was about six years old.He was raised in a Quaker settlement.He had an older brother and a younger sister.Herbert eventually left the quaker life and got married by a catholic priest.Later he enrolled into the Friends Pacific Academy.He wasn't even 14 when he dropped out and became a part-time office boy.He then attended Standford.He then workd for a gold mining industry.He went on to do huminarian work and then went into the running for president

AccomplishmentsHerbert had a very tough life growing up.He got through his childhood and went on to become the president of the United States.I would say that's a huge accomplishment!Some of his big accomplishments are:.Brought people back to the United states after World War 1..Increased the federal budget for children's programs..He passed the Agricultural marketing act that got $500 million dollars to purchase surplus goods that would be sold to improve the economy..He increased the lands in national parks.

After his presidencyHerbert left Washington,D.C..He had a relationship with the president at the time, Franklin Delano Roosevelt.Herbert said many rude things about Roosevelt.Roosevelt was very angry at Herbert so he said some rude things in return.In 1936 Herbert hoped that he would be nominated again for the presidential election.Nobody liked Herbert Hoover.He did go to make organizations for the welfare people.He then went on to write bestsellling books.He died on October 20,1964 at the age of 90.

The stock market crashed.People lost jobs and were homeless.

Herbert issued the Hoover moratourim.This put a one year hault on the payment from Germany and France.

On November 19,Herbert went on a goodwill tour for seven weeks.On this tour he gave the western hemisphere his polices.

Herbert introducd the Hoover plan.The Hooover plan propsed a third of the world's naval power.

Herbert had promised army soliders bonuses.He never gave them their bonuses.So they protested.

The great depression was a terrible time for the United States of America.They blamed Hoover for the stock market crash.The people who become homeless became known as "Hoovervilles".
