Most brain neurons are present by week 24. Fetus reacts to sound and eyes are sensitive to light.•Weeks 25-38: Baby could survive outside womb if born now. Continues to grow and lungs mature. Newborn Development Milestones

To develop into a happy toddler, child, adolescent, and adult, your infant needs several elements in his life. He may be calm or feisty, discover what he likes and do it – singing, rocking, or playing peek-a-boo. He will know he is loved by your touch – hug, kiss, and carry him. In addition, use slow and gentle movements, so as not to startle him. Talk to him – he enjoys hearing his name and calming words. Create a routine – babies become familiar with daily activities and find comfort in them. Play learning and exploring games with your baby. When your baby coos or babbles, encourage him to continue – this will develop his language skills. These actions will have lasting effects on your baby for years to come; he will develop emotional and social relationships based on the love he experiences in the first year of his life .

Biological Influences:GenderGeneral HealthMental Capacity/HealthHealth Practices/ConditionsEnvironmental Influences:HousingParental Employment/IncomeLevel of EducationAll of these factors play a role development when it comes to children, however having more or less of one does not mean that the child will turn out any different than a child who has more of thee factrs. If the child get love, care and nurturing as a child and they are raised to display those same emotions, they will likely continue to carry it through adulthood. A childs parents can havelow income, low level education and the child can still turn out sucessful depending on the upbringing. Eve through health factors, a child can still soar.

Nature vs. Nurture

Over the first two years of life, early experiences shape the foundational learning structures of the brain. The quality of care an infant receives from his caregiver influences his ability to connect with others, including, regulating his impulses, communicating with others, and engaging in cognitive learning. Inhibition, working memory, and cognitive flexibility are shaped in the relationships babies experience the first two years of life. In addition, early relationships are crucial to healthy brain development. To ensure your unborn child or infant is ready for school - get proper medical care, learn about environment toxins, stress, and health issues, take at least six months of leave to bond with your baby, schedule and attend all well-baby visits, receive guidance and support for your baby’s healthy development, schedule developmental screenings for physical or behavioral concerns, and ensure your child is enrolled in the best childcare environment .

Cultural influences play a major role in child development. Culture consist of traditional and non-traditional customs, practices and social behaviors. Children typically carry on the same practices that their parents carry. The more stimulating, caring, loving and social the childs environment is, the chances are they will take on those same traits. A child is a perfect immitator and will take on, carry and pass down the same cultural beliefs and life practices.
