Poverty In America

Mack Baumann and Christian Lafranchise 6A 11-14-11

Dear God,Thank you for everything we have. Help us to know of others in the world that are suffering. Help us to know our talents, and to use them to the best of our ability. Let us help all others throughout the world, and let us help their sickness.

Dear Mr. President O'Bama, I feel that we need to do more about the victims of poverty. Writing this, I believe that I am speaknig for many others as well on this subject. We dont do enough for poverty in America. There are too many "tent-cities" and too many people starving. I know that I cant do much but make Lighthouse Lunches and put money in the poor box, but you can do alot more than me. All I'm asking is that you try your hardest to do more for the people in America affected by poverty. Sincerely, Christian Lafranchise

ABC For PovertyABC, 123, I'm going to help to save poverty, so i packed a lunch to eat, and it helped the needy.

I think our motto is related to the poverty unit because open our doors can mean to be proactive. It can also mean to get out of your bubble. It can also mean to reach out to the people in need. Also it can mean open our ideas to any charity. That is how our poverty unit is related to our school motto.

This theme relates connects to our project in multiple ways. First, we are opening our doors by befriending all, just as Jesus did. When we feed the poor we start doing the Corporal Works of Mercy. Finally, this is connected to poverty because Jesus helped all, just like we should do.
