Recycle~ a proccess in which you go to your local recycling center and drop off cardboard, plastic, paper, and metal which they remake the used materials into a new product.Reuse~ is the proccess in which we reuse a product. For instance, using an orange juice jug as a flower pot, or pizza boxs for art projects.Reduce~ this proccess reduces the amount of waste we put in our local landfill. It requires people to make an alternative. Using plastic plates and washing them, or using a dish towel instead of paper towels to dry you hands. These are examples of reducing wastes.Compost~ is matter that has been decomposed to be used as safe, not poisonous fertilizer.

Pollution contaminates many ecosystems. There are multiple ways of contaminating an ecosystem. For instance, littering, trash swept away from landfills, chemicals in water sources, and car engines causing smog in cities. These are just some of the ways of contaminating the earth. Humans are also harmed by pollution. Air pollution can get trapped in our lungs and give us diseases like chronic respiratory disease and lung cancer. Plants and animals are also harmed by pollution. Oil spills in the oceans kill many fish, and pesticides and fertilizers poison food and drink.

Air pollution, water pollution, and littering are all forms of environmental problems.
