Clothing & Materials
The people that lived in the Plateau region mainly wore animal hides, fur, and various plant material. The Plateau people used their weaving skills to weave together baskets and hats. The women scraped and sofened the hides to make leggings and dresses( they decorate their work with seeds and shells).
Main Geographic Features
The Plateau reigon had flat lands, rolling hills, steep gordges, and large rivers provieded water. It also has lava plateau's and has plains and is a basin.

The people of the Plateau built their homes along major rivers. Their houses were cone shaped teepee's made of bark, branches, or leaves. They built their houses by digging a pit, then lined it with a frame of logs, then covered everything with mud , reeds, and saplings.

Main food source
The native americans ate roots, berries, carrots, onions,seeds, nuts, salmon, jackrabits, and antelope. Women got sticks for raw food and rosting and for grinding into flour. Their favorite food was camas. Camas is a starchy root related to lilies.
Tools
The native americans of the Plateau used speers, sticks and nets for food and other things. The nets and speers were for catching fish and the sticks were for eating raw foods, for roasting, and for grinding into flour. They made a wooden platform to stand up on built over the water, then they could catch the fish way easier with the speer and nets.
Other intresting facts
The Plateau has two major rivers the Columbia and the Fraser. They built their houses along the rivers so they could get water. To stay warm during the winter and to stay cool during the summer they built their houses partly underground.
