Lesson Planning

Planning is therefore thinking that promotes clear communication of our ideas.
Evaluation is an essential part of ‘reflection for action’.
While experienced teachers have learnt to modify learning experiences to meet students’ needs and apply the aspects of the Knowledge dimension almost instinctively through practice, beginning teachers must have a clear understanding of ‘what’ they will teach. This includes knowing and understanding the content; how it relates to other areas of knowledge or tasks that make use of the knowledge acquired; the prior knowledge necessary for learners to be “ready to learn” what you need to teach; and how and why this knowledge is important for learners to know.

“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.” ― Benjamin Franklin
