Pineda and The Holy Grail

Pineda was the first ever explorer to map the Gulf Coast.

Francisco de Garay sent Pineda out with 4 ships to go search the unmapped and unexplored portion of The Gulf.

He proved that Florida is a peninsula, contrary to everyone else's thoughts back in the day.

While repairing ships, Pineda "parked" in a waterway that is thought to be the Rio Grande. Pineda named it Las Palmas.

I was the first European explorer to ever see the Mississippi River. I named it Espíritu Santo.
