When you serve the pingpong ball, you exert force from your arm and into the paddle, then the paddle exerts force into the pingpong ball

The unbalanced force is the paddle and the paddle would exert the froce on the ball. It's inertia keeps the ball going in the same direction. However, gravity will pull the ball down to hit the table.

The acceleration of the ball depends on how hard you hit the ball with the paddle.

Momentum: the force or speed of the movement of an object

The ball comes off the table towards the paddle when the paddle hits the ball the force of the paddle is exerted into the ball, giving it momentum forward back to the other side of the table
